About URSCA

Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities (URSCA) is the umbrella organization for the College of Arts & Sciences efforts and resources devoted to supporting undergraduate research in all its many forms.

Lisa Davis (lisa.davis@ua.edu), Associate Professor of Geography, is the Coordinator of Undergraduate Research Initiatives for the College of Arts & Sciences. Her primary focus is developing opportunities for undergraduate students and faculty in the College of Arts & Sciences to engage in research-based learning and mentoring. Lisa chairs the Undergraduate Creativity and Research Academy (UCRA), teaches AS 103 INTRO: Introduction to Research and Creative Opportunities, and works with the College of Arts & Sciences Experiential Learning Services to improve student mentoring.
